Job Title: Assembler (Afternoons)

Job Description

The Production Specialist is responsible for assembling and preparing electrical panels and circuit boards, packaging electronic products, and performing final assembly tasks. This role involves proper documentation, mechanical assembly using hand tools, push-button testing, PCB masking, and depanelization. The specialist will communicate with team leaders about parts shortages and rotate between workstations as needed. Participation in training and certification programs to update job knowledge and skills is also required. Additionally, involvement in team-level quality improvement initiatives is expected.

Responsibilities

Assemble and prepare electrical panels/circuit boards according to documentation.Package electronic products and perform final assembly tasks.Accurately complete production documentation.Conduct mechanical assembly using basic hand tools.Perform push-button testing.Execute PCB masking and depanelization as necessary.Communicate with team leaders regarding parts shortages and issues.Rotate to different workstations and cells as required.Engage in training and certification programs to update skills regularly.Participate in team-level quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1 year production experience in assembly or manufacturing using tools.Strong communication skills with fluency in verbal and written instructions.Experience in fast-paced environments with high unit volumes and meeting KPIs.Mechanical aptitude and good vision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Cross-training experience in various job duties.Direct experience with printed circuit boards.History in electronics and electrical systems.

The position offers a path to permanent employment with a quarterly manufacturing bonus, averaging $400-$600 per quarter for technicians. Upon becoming permanent, you have two benefits plan options: 80% medical and dental coverage paid by the company or 100% coverage with half paid by the employee.

Work Environment

The work environment is an OEM manufacturing setting with a clean room atmosphere, equipped with X-ray and testing machines, and tables for soldering and assembling. The facility is bright with tall ceilings, providing an optimal workspace for production tasks.

This is a Contract to hire position based out of Mississauga, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
