Job Title: Assembler, $20-24

Job Description

As an assembler, you will meticulously work with fiber cables, following detailed blueprints or instructions. Your role involves measuring, cutting, and placing fibers into clips, feeding colored wires through connectors with precision, applying epoxy, and ensuring the assembly is flawlessly coated. The process concludes with curing, polishing, and testing the assembly to verify all connections function correctly.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and place fiber cables into clips.Follow blueprints or work instructions to assemble components.Feed colored wires through connectors in precise order.Apply epoxy and cure assemblies using appropriate devices.Polish and test assemblies to ensure proper functionality.Utilize small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes as needed.

Essential Skills

6 months to 1+ year of manufacturing experience with assembly of small parts or medical devices.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to accurately distinguish colors for wire placement.Experience working with microscopes or ability to learn quickly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with guidewire, hand tool, and microscope assembly.Familiarity with assembly in clean room settings.Knowledge of wiring, blueprint interpretation, and electronics assembly.

Work Environment

Work in a newly renovated, fast-growing facility within a clean room environment that does not require special dress codes. The division is new and growing, offering a chance to contribute to its development and improvement. The role is second shift, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. A business casual appearance is acceptable, and a smock will be provided for use during work hours. Optional PPE, such as gloves and safety glasses, is available but not required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.76/hr.
