**Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler (contract work till about July/August)** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled mechanical assembler to overhaul large valves. The primary responsibilities include tearing down, servicing/repairing, and reassembling the valves. The role involves operating an impact tool to torque down bolts, removing bolts, buffing, grinding, and deburring as necessary to clean up and reassemble the product after repairs. **Responsibilities** + Tear down, service, and repair large valves. + Reassemble valves after repairs. + Operate impact tools to torque down bolts. + Remove bolts, buff, grind, and deburr components as needed. + Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, including impacts, wrenches, and grinders. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of assembly experience. + Experience with heavy assembly tasks. + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Proficiency with hand and power tools. + Experience in bolting using impact tools. + Troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Any fabrication experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that offers a clean and climate-controlled work environment. This is a contract position running through the end of July, with the potential to extend based on workload. The position requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts, with hours from 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, Monday through Saturday, and some Sundays as needed. Be prepared to work 60+ hours per week, including 12-hour days and 7-day weeks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
