Join our team as an Assembly Technician and play a crucial role in assembling engine manifolds and related components. Your attention to detail and mechanical assembly skills will ensure high-quality products and contribute to our growing success.

ResponsibilitiesHelp to assemble small parts to engine manifolds.Add washers and bolts on coolers following step-by-step instructions.Utilize torque tools to tighten components to specific measurements.Perform bench assembly work and complete minor paint touch-ups if needed.Conduct final inspections to ensure order and inventory accuracy.Assist in loading completed assemblies into crates.Use pneumatic tools, including grinders, air ratchet, impact gun, and rivet gun.Steam clean pieces to ensure parts are free from dirt and chips.Dip parts into rust remover and oil parts prior to packaging.Prepare workpieces for shipping by banding them.Essential SkillsAttention to detail.Assembly experience.Hand tool and power tool experience.Ability to read blueprints.Familiarity with using tape measures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in production and mechanical assembly is advantageous.Experience with hand and power tools is beneficial.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The facility houses 120 employees and is expanding to accommodate three shifts. It is an older space divided into two separate buildings, characterized by a loud and variable climate. Employees work in specific departments under the guidance of a supervisor and a set team. The facility includes CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems, and plans are underway to upgrade the premises.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $17.40/hr.
