Hiring Assemblers and Wiring Technicians for 6AM-6PM in Hanover, MD

Job Description

We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team. This role will involve assembling various components into finished products according to specifications, blueprints, or work orders. The position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Assembler Responsibilities

Follow safety protocols and procedures, including wearing safety shoes, glasses, and ear protection.Use tools safely and maintain a clean and tidy work area.Read diagrams and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.Ensure the quality of structures by checking that products are level and square.Pay attention to detail, particularly when inspecting components for damages such as dents and scratches.Use torque wrenches to torque bolts to required specifications.Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a team.Understand manufacturing information such as front views, bill of materials, drawings, blueprints, and order entry systems.Problem-solve using oral or written instructions to assemble switchboards and panelboards, and proactively identify missing components.Utilize hand tools to install materials accurately, following established procedures.Communicate job progress and identify problem areas or part shortages.Identify opportunities for process improvement and conduct root cause analysis in response to quality or production issues.Be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of materials before and after assembly, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.Assemble copper bussing according to design, ensuring correct spacing from phase to phase and ground.Perform other duties as assigned.

Wire Tech Responsibilities

Follow safety protocols and procedures of the company, including wearing safety shoes, glasses, and ear protection.Use all tools in a safe manner and maintain a clean and tidy work area.Read diagrams and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.Ensure the quality of the structure by checking the product is level and square.Pay attention to detail when checking components used on structure builds for damages.Use torque wrenches to torque bolts to the required specification.Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a team.Understand manufacturing information such as front views, bill of materials, drawings, blueprints, and order entry systems.Problem-solve using oral or written instructions to assemble switchboards and panelboards.Utilize various hand tools to accurately install material by following established procedures.Communicate progress of jobs in the area of assignment and identify problem areas or part shortages.Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and complete root cause analysis for quality or production issues.Be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before and after assembly, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.Assemble copper bussing according to design and check for correct spacing.Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Strong concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Proficiency in lifting up to 50 lbs.Ability to multitask, establish work priorities, and efficiently manage time.Proficiency with computers and CAD software to follow design structures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience as an Assembler in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with assembly tools and techniques.

Work Environment

Work in a brand new facility with a team of approximately 200-250 people. The environment includes exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Candidates must wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and long pants made of thicker material. The position involves standing or walking for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 25–50 lbs. The role requires working on a rotating shift schedule of 2-2-3 from 6 am to 6 pm, with initial training provided in the first week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
