**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
The assembler will work with fiber cables, measuring, cutting, and placing them into clips. Following detailed blueprints or enlarged work instructions, the assembler will meticulously feed each colored wire through a connector. This task requires precise accuracy as each wire must be fed in the correct order. Once all wires are fed through, a small drop of epoxy is applied, and the wires are pulled through to complete a coating that envelops the entire surface. After this step, the assembly is placed into a curing device to dry the epoxy coating, followed by a final polishing stage. The completed assembly is then tested to ensure all connections function properly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Measure, cut, and place fiber cables into clips.
+ Follow blueprints or work instructions to feed colored wires through connectors accurately.
+ Apply epoxy and pull wires through to coat their surface.
+ Use curing devices for drying epoxy and perform final polishing.
+ Test assemblies to ensure all connections are functioning properly.
+ Utilize small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes for assembly tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ 6 months to 1+ year of manufacturing experience with small parts or medical device assembly.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to see color accurately for wire placement.
+ Experience with microscopes or ability to work under one.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with guidewire, hand tool use, and microscope assembly.
+ Experience in clean room environments, wiring, or electronics assembly.
+ Experience in medical assembly, catheter assembly, or wire assembly.

**Work Environment**
Work in a newly renovated facility that is experiencing continual upgrades. As part of a new division, the current team is small but poised for rapid expansion. Employees will work in a clean room environment without strict dress code requirements, apart from wearing a smock. Optional safety equipment like gloves and safety glasses are provided. The position operates on a Monday-Thursday schedule, 2nd Shift from 3:15pm to 1:15am, with the possibility of overtime on Fridays.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, WI.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.76/hr.
