**Job Title: Assembly Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our expanding team. This role involves assembling small parts to engine manifolds, following precise instructions, and ensuring quality standards are met. **Responsibilities** + Assemble small parts to engine manifolds. + Add washers and bolts on coolers. + Utilize a torque tool to tighten to specific measurements. + Follow step-by-step instructions for assembly processes. + Add oil as required during assembly. + Perform bench assembly work and minor paint touch-ups if needed. + Complete final inspection of assembled parts. + Ensure order and inventory accuracy. + Assist in loading completed assemblies into crates. + Pay close attention to detail throughout the assembly process. + Use pneumatic tools, such as grinders, air ratchets, impact guns, and rivet guns. + Steam clean pieces to ensure parts are free from dirt and chips. + Dip parts into rust remover and oil parts prior to packaging. + Perform final inspection of parts before shipping. + Band workpieces and prepare them for shipping. **Essential Skills** + Attention to detail. + Assembly experience. + Ability to read blueprints. + Experience with hand tools, production, and mechanical assembly. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with hand and power tools. + Familiarity with reading tape measures. **Why Work Here?** Our organization recently became part of a larger group, offering long-term career opportunities. The older facility is split into two separate buildings and can be loud, dirty, and hot in warmer months or cold during winter. You will work within specific departments under a supervisor with a set team. The facility contains larger areas for CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems, with ongoing upgrades underway. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, IN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $17.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
