**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling various attachments and following detailed instructions to ensure high-quality output. The position requires the use of hand and power tools, and demands a strong attention to detail. **Responsibilities** + Assemble attachments according to instructions. + Utilize hand and power tools efficiently. + Stand for 8+ hours and lift 50+ lbs. + Visually inspect parts prior to assembly. + Set up and prepare jobs for assembly. + Check part availability on computer and obtain parts from inventory. + Use assembly tooling designed for assigned cells, such as presses, drill machines, and testing fixtures. + Assemble sub-assemblies and finished goods. + Apply Loctite, grease, epoxy, etc., as specified per work instructions. + Assemble products with special handling instructions as required. + Thoroughly clean and prepare product surface for labeling using acetone. + Apply proper labeling. + Maintain and clean work area, including removing trash, wiping down tabletops, and cleaning floors. + Rework failed products as necessary. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand and power tools. + Attention to detail. + Ability to lift 50+ lbs. + Manufacturing experience. + Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in mechanical assembly and assembly production. + Blueprint reading skills are advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values its employees with benefits such as a gym membership, health, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401K plan. The work environment is clean and well-organized, though not temperature-controlled, meaning it can get warm in the summer and cold in the winter. We allow employees to wear knee-length shorts. We pride ourselves on our partnerships with first responders and our community outreach programs. The position offers flexible shifts with 2-hour mandatory overtime each day, which can be worked before or after the shift based on preference. Some Saturday work is optional, typically needed at the end of the month. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valparaiso, IN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
