In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of food manufacturing equipment, using various tools and prints to perform custom assembly work. You will receive an order sheet, gather all necessary supplies, plan a timeline, and execute the assembly process.
ResponsibilitiesMechanical assembly of food manufacturing equipment.Review and prepare the kit of machine parts for assembly.Examine build manuals that include drawings and bill of materials.Arrange parts and materials for the machine to match sales order specifications.Inspect and prepare parts, including removing small quantities of metal to reduce sharp edges or produce close fits.Utilize powered industrial trucks or cranes to move large components or pallets of machine parts.Drill, tap, or ream holes in metal pieces using hand tools.Align components and secure them with bolts, screws, or various hardware.Install moving parts such as gears, shafts, levers, or bearings, and verify their correct operation.Bend and install pipes for pneumatic systems.Align and mesh gears in gearboxes to assemble systems of gears.Use a variety of precision measuring and gauging devices.Test or assist in testing the operation of completed products.Essential Skills2+ years of mechanical assembly experience.2+ years of blueprint experience.Ability to lift over 50 lbs regularly.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in using hand and power tools.Experience with electrical and panel wiring.Knowledge of panel and cabinet building.Understanding of schematics and electrical assembly.Why Work Here?The company offers a friendly and helpful work environment with flexibility in schedules. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
