Join a leading custom manufacturer of industrial packaging, specializing in creating industrial-sized custom crates and smaller corrugated boxing solutions. As an assembler, you will engage in the repetitive assembly of large crates, working with various components such as bases, lids, ends, and shelves. Utilize nail guns, impact drivers, and screws to assemble crates according to custom engineering drawings.
ResponsibilitiesPerform repetitive assembly of crates measuring 10 feet long, 4 feet wide, and deep.Build components such as bases, lids, ends, and shelves using nail guns.Install hinges and other hardware with impact drivers and screws.Assemble crate walls to completion.Assist in cutting lumber to size using table saws.Accurately measure dimensions with a tape measure.Essential SkillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Experience with hand and power tools.Experience working with wood, including basic carpentry, construction, and crating.Basic shop drawing and blueprint experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsBlueprint reading skills.Experience in woodworking or carpentry is advantageous.Why Work Here?Enjoy comprehensive medical and dental benefits, as well as a pension plan upon permanent employment. Work EnvironmentWork in a bright, clean, and relaxed manufacturing shop that is not unionized. Join a small but growing team of 18 assemblers, with engineering and sales also located on-site. The facility is large and emphasizes teamwork and collaboration. Choose between day and afternoon shifts, with the possibility of overtime on occasional Saturdays. Day shift hours are 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, while afternoon shifts run from 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday to Thursday.
