**Job Title: Assembler** Job Description As an assembler, you will be responsible for assembling parts and sub-assemblies according to design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities + Select components, align, and assemble them in proper sequence by drilling holes, adding rivets, screws, bolts, braces, tape, cement, or solder. + Select appropriate sub-assemblies or component parts and install them in the unit in specified sequence according to Sequence of Events (SOE). + Apply wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components in the cabinet as per SOE. + Recognize color codes to ensure that wiring and other color-coded procedures meet guidelines. + Read electrical wiring diagrams to accomplish accurate assembly. + Use a wide range of hand tools, including drills, rivet guns, saws, hy-pot testers, and drill presses. + Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure the unit meets specified quality standards before moving to the next workstation. + Verify that custom equipment changes have been made according to specifications. + Clean and pack final products using approved chemicals, referring to MSDS for safe handling and proper PPE usage. + Move units or position pieces manually or using work aids such as casters, cranes, or forklifts. + Provide support and coverage on all operations on the line as requested by the supervisor. + Engage in cross-training and demonstrate flexibility. + Reorder raw materials and finished parts using the Kanban inventory system. + Maintain supermarket racks and inventory accuracy using the correct part numbers. Essential Skills + Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams. + Proficiency in using a wide range of hand tools. + Knowledge of color codes for wiring and procedures. + Familiarity with the Kanban inventory system. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
