Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for supporting production manufacturing to meet customer deadlines. You will apply your job skills and adhere to company policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks. You will acquire a working knowledge of product flow and the impact of quality. This role involves working on assignments that are routine in nature, where limited judgment is required. You will be expected to have a working knowledge of production standards and production goals, and may assist in cross-training focus factory members as instructed. You will receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments, and will operate within established policies and procedures, seeking approval for any deviations.

Responsibilities

Read and document instructions for specific jobs at your workstation each day.Perform in-house quality checks to ensure all parts are good, and document any defects under the 'see something, say something' policy.Utilize basic hand tools such as flat head screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and Philips screwdrivers.Learn the functions of each job, which may vary from 1 to 20 functions depending on the work instructions for the day.Sit or stand as required by the specific line you are working on, with eight spots available for each option.

Essential Skills

Six months of manufacturing experience.Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.Ability to read and write effectively.Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.Familiarity with schematic and blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Mechanically inclined with a experience in manufacturing.Experience in assembly roles, such as those at Jiffy Lube, is advantageous.Ability to sit and/or stand for the duration of a shift.Capability to frequently reach at waist level and occasionally above head.Capacity to carry up to 10 pounds and lift up to 45 pounds.Proficiency in frequently pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and/or stooping.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
