Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Fabrication Associate and Assembler to operate fabrication machines and tools, assisting around the shop on various machines and projects. This role involves cross-training in a variety of production areas, focusing on fabricating and forming sheet metal.

Responsibilities

Assemble filter components using hand tools and basic machinery, following standard procedures.Assist in preparing materials and components for assembly.Inspect assembled filters or parts for obvious defects or inconsistencies.Report any quality concerns to supervisors.Organize and manage materials and components needed for filter assembly.Track and document material usage.Maintain accurate records of production output, defects, and material usage.Log and record units produced, including errors resulting in rejected or discarded material/parts.Report any issues with machinery, tools, or materials to supervisors.Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work area.Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment used in the assembly process.Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment.Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.Other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Basic assembly tasks and production experience.Understanding of detailed instructions and specifications for manufacturing filters.Experience with electrical, wiring, construction, assembly, mechanical, and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong tenure in the industrial field.Willingness to cross-train in various production areas.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled fabrication shop with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
