**Job Title: Electrical Assembler** Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Assembler to join our team. You will play a vital role in assembling and inspecting components for our railway systems, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Responsibilities + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for assembly tasks. + Use small hand tools and power tools such as micrometers and calipers for precise assembly. + Assemble products at the initial stages, handing off completed work to more experienced employees for further processing. + Participate in a 4-week basic training program, receiving peer assessments to ensure quality workmanship. + Consistently ensure quality over quantity in all assembly tasks. Essential Skills + Ability to read and comprehend schematics. + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. + Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly. + Mechanical aptitude and ability to use a mechanical torque wrench. + Capability to work with small objects and perform fine motor tasks for extended periods. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent. + Ability to repeatedly bend and move hands, arms, and elbows throughout the day. + Comfort with inspecting small objects regularly. Work Environment Our work environment is very clean and organized, specializing in the production of auxiliary power converters and on-board systems for railway cars. The facility operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots and work pants, and dress in layers to accommodate potential outdoor assignments during colder months. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BALLSTON SPA, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
