**Assembler** **Location:** Tacoma **Job Type:** Contract to Hire **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM **Job Overview** Join a global leader in aerospace manufacturing, specializing in structures, systems, and components for commercial, business, regional, and military aircraft. As an Assembler, you will perform pre-assembly and assembly tasks using hand and pneumatic tools, working from aerospace blueprints and schematics. Training is provided, and candidates with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply. **Key Responsibilities** + Assemble aircraft components such as wings, tails, fuselages, and control systems + Perform pre-assembly tasks including drilling and deburring + Install ground studs, attach nut plates, and bond parts + Use hand and pneumatic tools, micrometers, calipers, and perform riveting and countersinking + Read and interpret aerospace blueprints and schematics + Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards **Required Skills** + Aerospace assembly experience (sheet metal preferred) + Experience with countersinking and squeezing + Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn + Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, shim gauges, height gauges) + Ability to read work instructions and blueprints + Effective communication skills **Work Environment** + Clean, well-organized manufacturing shop + Handles steel and sheet metal components + Loud environment with heavy-duty equipment + Physical activity required throughout the shift **Why Work Here** + Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits + 401(k) with company match + Medical, dental, vision, life, and accidental insurance + Paid holidays and PTO + Disability coverage (short-term and long-term) + Employee assistance plan and wellness program + Tuition assistance + Strong focus on work-life balance and professional development **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
