**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
As an Assembler, you will perform electronic, electromechanical, or mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations to build and assemble units of moderate complexity. You will work under limited supervision and utilize various tools to ensure the completion of high-quality assemblies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work from production and assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire, and install a wide variety of components.
+ Identify and select components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.
+ Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
+ 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
+ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
+ Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Strong willingness to learn.
+ Ability to stand for entire shift.
+ Experience using hand tools.
+ Ability to work well with others.
+ 1+ years of consistent working experience.
+ 6+ months of manufacturing work experience or other relevant mechanical experience.

**Work Environment**
The brand-new manufacturing facility in Lenexa offers a climate-controlled environment with a very nice building and atmosphere. Work hours are structured in shifts: the 1st shift operates from either 5am to 3:30pm or 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with availability for overtime on Fridays as needed. The 2nd shift runs from 2:30pm to 1am, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. The work environment typically has moderate noise levels, and employees may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
