Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Assemblers, responsible for manufacturing carpeted products for the automotive industry. This full-time, long-term position involves loading and unloading materials and assemblies into presses, performing inspections, and producing formed and trimmed products. Candidates must be willing to work on the 3rd shift and be available for overtime, including weekends.

ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload materials and assemblies into presses.Perform inspection of products to ensure quality standards.Produce formed and trimmed products.Handle carpet assemblies weighing 10-15 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.Work in a high production shop, tracking numbers and efficiencies.Essential SkillsExperience in manufacturing and production environments.Proficiency in inspection, loading, trimming, unloading, and assembly tasks.Stable work history with at least 1-2 years at previous jobs.Reliable attendance with minimal absences or tardiness.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Additional Skills & QualificationsWillingness to work overtime and weekends.Must be at least 18 years old.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment with 8-10 stamping cells and at least 4 presses per cell. Our facilities are high production, with approximately 70 production employees per shift across three locations. The company has a re-branding initiative with a focus on improving employee satisfaction and retention. Employees are expected to stand at a press with a material cart, load and unload the press, and inspect and trim parts as needed. Training is thorough and efficient, typically requiring only one day to master each job, with opportunities to learn multiple roles within the first week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Port Huron, Michigan.

This is a Direct Hire position. This is NOT a temporary or contractor position.

When hired into this position you will be on the companies payroll as their employee.

Pay rates= 1st shift - $17.50/hour

2nd shift - $18.00/hour

3rd shift - $17.85/hour

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36400.00 - $37024.00/yr.

Load and unload materials and assemblies into the presses.
Perform inspections on products to ensure quality standards.
Produce formed and trimmed carpet assemblies for automotive use.
Handle carpet assemblies weighing 10-15 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds during material handling.
Participate in training to become efficient in various roles.
