Job Description

Join a trusted manufacturer renowned for producing high-quality Vacuum Instruments and Gas Mass Flow Instruments. With a diverse product line that includes vacuum sensors and flow meters, we offer flexible options for outputs, calibration, and fittings. As part of our fast-growing instrumentation segment located in Hampton, VA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, test, and calibrate flow instruments.Support testers and customer service in troubleshooting flow products.Determine product configuration from customer order information and production controls.Detect quality issues and initiate corrective actions.Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and calibration.Operate test equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and current meters.Read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.Solder and unsolder components as needed.Use basic hand and power tools.Inspect, test, and clean all finished instruments prior to shipment.Maintain work-related equipment and test fixtures.Ensure regular and predictable attendance and adherence to schedule.Essential SkillsMechanical and electromechanical assembly skills.Proficiency in soldering and calibration.Diagnostic testing and inspection capabilities.Ability to read and comprehend schematics and mechanical drawings.Experience with electrical assembly.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; Associates Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.Two or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of component-level electronic circuitry evaluation.Familiarity with mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.Ability to use communication software and equipment such as email, multi-line phone, and fax machine.Strong reading and writing skills.Computer skills including document handling, information research, data entry, and report preparation.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.Quality control experience desired.Experience in an ISO 9001 environment preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a clean manufacturing environment, engaging in tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting for long periods. The role requires manual dexterity in handling and positioning materials, along with the ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampton, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
