Job Description
As an assembler, you will be responsible for working from blueprints, schedules, shop orders, specification sheets, process instructions, and test instructions. You will ensure that production schedules are met by arranging for parts, materials, supplies, tooling, gauges, and other equipment. Your role will involve storing materials, passing Kan Ban cards to producing departments, and moving items between storage areas and work cells. Additionally, you will fill out and submit requisitions, move tickets, finished goods tickets, and scrap tickets, as well as verify and identify material quantities and report any shortages or damaged materials.
ResponsibilitiesSet up work cell equipment and make necessary adjustments to tools, gauges, and equipment.Perform operational checks and monitor work visually to maintain quality standards.Notify supervisor of nonconformance and operating difficulties.Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, oiling, inspecting, and minor adjustments.Train new and existing employees on department operations and work cell procedures.Follow safety rules and maintain a clean and orderly work cell area.Use computer systems to check the status of customer and shop orders.Utilize hand and power tools, pallet jacks, and hand trucks for material movement.Essential SkillsAssembly experience with hand tools and mechanical assembly.Ability to read blueprints and perform bench assembly.Soldering experience, particularly with electrical and PCB components.Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly.High school diploma.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience operating power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, and jigs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility is part of an emergency warning manufacturing company with over 500 employees across three separate unions. The work environment involves shifts from 7am to 3:30pm and from 3:30pm to midnight, ensuring a dynamic and supportive atmosphere for all team members.

The pay range for this position is $40185.60 - $40185.60/yr.
