**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
Join our team as an Assembler on the first and second shifts, where you will contribute to the production of small metal parts used in medical surgeries. You will rotate between departments every two hours, performing tasks such as assembly, machine operation, and quality control. This role requires standing for extended periods and handling intricate, repetitive work. You will alternate between sitting at a bench and standing during assembly, collaborating with a partner to ensure efficiency and precision.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform general production functions including assembly and machine operation.
+ Conduct quality control of small metal pieces used in medical surgeries.
+ Rotate between different departments every two hours.
+ Engage in repetitive tasks involving large orders of small parts.
+ Alternate between sitting and standing positions during assembly.
+ Collaborate with a team member to switch functions regularly.
+ Ensure precision and attention to detail in all tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in assembly and production tasks.
+ Ability to stand for 8 hours.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Experience in manufacturing preferred.
+ Ability to use basic measuring devices.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Microscope experience is a plus.
+ Soldering experience or dealing with small parts is a plus.
+ Entry-level position; manufacturing experience is not required but desirable.

**Work Environment**
Work in a clean facility with about 70 colleagues. Enjoy a structured first shift schedule: Monday - Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The machines are closely spaced, creating a tight workspace. Standards and expectations are clearly communicated through boards and computer screens displaying goals versus actual output. Collaborate with team members to achieve shared objectives.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
