Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Assembler, where you will play a crucial role in assembling attachments and products with precision and care. Your tasks will involve utilizing hand and power tools, following detailed instructions, and ensuring the quality of assembled components.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble attachments and products as per instructions.Utilize hand and power tools effectively.Inspect parts visually before assembly.Set up and prepare jobs for assembly.Check part availability on the computer and obtain parts from inventory.Use assembly tooling designed for assigned cells, including presses, drill machines, and testing fixtures.Assemble sub-assemblies and finished goods.Apply Loctite, grease, epoxy, etc., as specified per work instructions.Thoroughly clean and prepare product surfaces for labeling using acetone.Apply proper labeling to products.Maintain and clean work area by removing trash, wiping down table tops, and cleaning the floor.Rework failed products as necessary.Essential SkillsExperience with hand and power tools.Strong attention to detail.Ability to lift 50+ lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssembly and manufacturing experience.Mechanical assembly and production experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our facility manufactures connections and attachments for first responders and monitors for fire trucks to remove carcinogens from the air. It is owned by a large private capital management company and is clean and well-organized. While the facility is not temperature-controlled, employees are allowed to wear knee-length shorts. We offer two openings on the day shift from 8am-4pm and three openings on the afternoon shift from 2:30pm-11pm. Training is provided for 1-3 weeks with safety shoes required. Mandatory overtime is 2 hours each day, which can be worked before or after your shift based on preference. Optional overtime on Saturdays is available, typically needed at the end of the month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valparaiso, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
