Job Title: Assembler
Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler on the first shift, where you will play a crucial role in producing small metal pieces used in medical surgeries. Your day will involve rotating every two hours between departments, performing assembly, machine operation, and quality control tasks. This role requires standing for extended periods and involves small, intricate work with repetitive tasks.

ResponsibilitiesPerform general production functions including assembly and machine operation.Conduct quality control checks on small metal pieces.Rotate between standing and sitting positions to perform assembly tasks.Work collaboratively with a partner in a cell, switching functions regularly.Ensure attention to detail in all tasks.Essential SkillsExperience in assembly and production.Ability to be on feet for 8 hours.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in manufacturing is preferred but not required.Familiarity with inspection and blueprint reading.Ability to utilize basic measuring devices.Microscope experience is a plus.Soldering experience or handling small parts is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The facility houses approximately 70 employees and operates a clean environment. The first shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, and Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. The second shift is from Monday to Friday, 4:30pm to 2:00am. The workspace is tight with machines closely placed, and standards and expectations are clearly displayed through boards and computer screens. Teamwork is emphasized, with goals compared to actual output.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
