**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** As an assembler, you will work from blueprints, schedules, shop orders, specification sheets, process instructions, and test instructions to meet production requirements. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production line by arranging parts, materials, supplies, and equipment. **Responsibilities** + Review production schedules and arrange necessary parts, materials, and equipment. + Store materials and move items between storage areas and work cells. + Fill out and submit requisitions, move tickets, finished goods tickets, and scrap tickets. + Select, verify, and identify the quantity of materials. + Record and address shortages, possible rejected or damaged materials. + Set up work cell equipment and make necessary adjustments. + Perform operational checks and visually monitor work to maintain quality standards. + Notify supervisor of nonconformance or operating difficulties. + Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, oiling, and inspecting. + Train new and existing employees in all facets of the work cell operation. + Follow safety rules and keep the work cell area clean and orderly. + Use a computer to check the status of customer orders and shop orders. + Utilize hand and power tools, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials. **Essential Skills** + Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly. + Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, and jigs. + Ability to read blueprints. + High school diploma. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Assembly and production experience. + Mechanical assembly and bench assembly experience. + Soldering experience. + Experience with electrical and PCB assembly. **Why Work Here?** Join a union company that offers excellent benefits, including pay increases every six months, health care after 90 days, and a probationary period of just 120 hours.
