Job Description
Join our team as an Assembly Technician I, where you will play a crucial role in our production process. You will work in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled environment to perform various assembly tasks using machines and hand tools. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to work on the first shift, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday.
ResponsibilitiesPerform assembly and sub-assembly of component parts using machines and hand tools.Work in the Assembly Cell to put together sub-assemblies, align caps, and run them through the press machine.Conduct quality checks and pack finished coolers into shipping containers.Test units using air pressure after the press process.Remove plates after assembly, pin, and press tubes through the oven zone.Work in the Bundle Department to set up baffles into fixtures and measure distances using calipers.Insert cores into the casting and prepare them for the pinning and pressing process.Maintain records related to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance.Ensure quality standards are met through visual inspection and measuring devices.Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly at all times.Perform necessary computer transactions in various software programs.Complete other miscellaneous assignments and related functions as directed by the team lead or manager.Essential SkillsMechanically inclined with experience using power tools.Attention to detail and safety conscientious.2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.Ability to use basic hand tools and work with both hands.Capability to perform basic arithmetic and comprehend work orders.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Direct manufacturing assembly experience is a plus.Hand dexterity and willingness to cross-train in various functions.Work Environment
You will work on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday. Our facility is located in a newly upgraded, climate-controlled environment, ensuring a consistent assembly process. The work involves lifting up to 35 lbs, with team lifts or hoists available for heavier items. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, long work pants, safety glasses, and a safety vest. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
