**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking an assembler to join our team and assist in the assembly of small parts to engine manifolds. This role involves adding washers, utilizing torque tools to tighten components to specific measurements, and installing bolts on coolers. You will follow step-by-step instructions, add oil when required, and engage in bench assembly work. Additionally, you will be responsible for minor paint touch-ups, completing final inspections, ensuring order and inventory accuracy, and assisting in loading completed assemblies into crates. Attention to detail is crucial in this role. **Responsibilities** + Assemble small parts to engine manifolds. + Add washers and bolts to components. + Utilize torque tools to tighten components to specific measurements. + Follow step-by-step instructions for assembly. + Add oil when required. + Complete minor paint touch-ups if needed. + Conduct final inspection to ensure quality. + Ensure order and inventory accuracy. + Assist in loading completed assemblies into crates. + Use pneumatic tools, including grinders, air ratchet, impact gun, and rivet gun. + Steam clean pieces to ensure parts are free from dirt and chips. + Dip parts into rust remover and oil them prior to packaging. + Conduct final inspection of parts. + Band work pieces and prepare them for shipping. **Essential Skills** + Attention to detail. + Assembly experience. + Ability to read blueprints. + Hand tool experience. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers long-term opportunities for employees, having recently been acquired by Caterpillar. It consists of two older buildings and can be loud, dirty, and hot in warm weather, cold during winter months. You will work within specific departments under the supervision of a set team. The facility includes areas with CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems, and is undergoing upgrades to improve conditions. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $17.40/hr.
