**Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled mechanical assembler to join our team on the assembly line. The role involves assembling small to medium-sized motors, collaborating with 5-8 other assemblers. You will be responsible for pulling parts from receiving, using hand tools to assemble back plates and seals, and utilizing a punch press for additional screw holes when necessary. Each week, assemblers are expected to complete 200 motors, which will then be sent for quality control inspection. This position does not involve electrical wiring. **Responsibilities** + Assemble small to medium-sized motors on the assembly line. + Collaborate with 5-8 other assemblers. + Pull parts from receiving and transport them to the assembly line. + Utilize hand tools to assemble back plates and seals. + Use punch press for additional screw holes if required. + Ensure production of 200 motors weekly, sending them to QC for inspection. **Essential Skills** + Experience working in a manufacturing environment for 1-3 years. + Ability to read calipers and tape measures accurately. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and following instructions. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and switch tasks efficiently. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of motor parts and hydraulics. + Skill in using hand and power tools. + Experience in mechanical assembly and production. **Why Work Here?** Employees will enjoy company benefits upon conversion to direct hire, including paid time off. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with minimal overtime required. Jeans, work shirts, and steel-toed shoes are mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
