Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator, where you will engage in hands-on tasks involving equipment operation and maintenance. You will be responsible for pulling 'the wall' in and out, conducting pre-trip inspections, and performing general cleaning duties.

ResponsibilitiesSpend 3 hours daily pulling 'the wall' in and out, divided as 1.5 hours at the 1.5 hours at the end of your shift.Perform light maintenance tasks including pre-trip inspections.Wash machines and change fluids as needed.Engage in general cleaning and assist diesel technicians.Handle downtime effectively.Essential SkillsValid Driver's LicenseExperience as a heavy equipment operator and CDL driverCompetence with front-end loadersMechanical skills including hand tool use and mechanical equipment assemblyAbility to read schematics and operate power toolsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in heavy equipment operation or freight/diesel truck operation is advantageous but not necessaryMechanical assembly skills are beneficialWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

Work primarily inside a warehouse and occasionally in traffic areas. Be prepared for varying temperatures as tasks may be outdoors. Use hand tools and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs during shifts from 12:30 pm to 9 pm, with potential overtime of about 10 hours per week if needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DALLAS, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
