**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
The assembler will work from blueprints, schedules, shop orders, specification sheets, process instructions, and test instructions. This role involves reviewing production schedules, arranging necessary parts and materials, and ensuring tools and equipment meet production requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Review production schedules and arrange for necessary parts, materials, and equipment.
+ Store materials and move items between storage areas and work cells.
+ Fill out and submit requisitions, move tickets, finished goods tickets, and scrap tickets.
+ Select, verify, and identify the quantity of materials, and report shortages or damaged materials.
+ Set up work cell equipment and make necessary adjustments.
+ Perform operational checks and monitor work quality, notifying the supervisor of nonconformance.
+ Conduct preventative maintenance on work cell equipment.
+ Train new and existing employees in work cell operations.
+ Follow safety rules and maintain a clean and orderly work cell area.
+ Use a computer to check order statuses and utilize hand and power tools, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials.
**Essential Skills**
+ Assembly experience with hand and power tools.
+ Mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Soldering experience with electrical and PCB components.
+ High school diploma.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
+ Ability to operate fixed gauges and jigs.

**Work Environment**
Work in a large emergency warning manufacturing company with over 500 employees and three separate unions. The work environment includes two shifts: 1st shift from 7am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to midnight.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of University Park, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40185.60 - $40185.60/yr.
