**Job Title: Assembly Technician**
**_Pay: $19.66 an hour//Paid Weekly!!!_**
**Job Description**
The Assembly Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the assembly and feeder areas of the assigned department, excluding welding. This role requires flexibility to work at different stations and assembly lines, assembling mechanical support units according to specifications, identifying and assembling parts, and practicing 5S methods. The Technician must have knowledge of material ordering systems, proper sealing procedures, motor sizes, plumbing, and electrical work of units, as well as the ability to work from ladders up to 20 feet in height.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform all functions in assigned department, excluding welding.
+ Flex to other work stations and assembly lines as needed.
+ Assemble mechanical support assemblies to specifications.
+ Identify and assemble all necessary parts.
+ Practice and sustain 5S methods.
+ Understand material ordering systems.
+ Apply proper sealing procedures for all products.
+ Read data plates and understand motor sizes.
+ Conduct plumbing and electrical work of units.
+ Work from ladders up to 20 feet in height.
+ Familiarize with knock down packing and crating.
+ Install special accessories on units, understanding function and installation.
+ Follow ISO procedures, policies, and instructions to ensure quality.
+ Mentor and drive LEAN principles in the area.
+ Develop ways to improve safety performance and address safety issues.
+ Contribute to achieving departmental safety goals, including near miss reporting.
+ Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

+ Regular attendance and awareness of normal hazards.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Comfortable working with hand, power, and air tools.
+ Ability to read blueprints and tape measure.
+ Mechanically inclined.
+ Construction or mechanical experience in a manufacturing facility.

**Work Environment**
Work in a manufacturing facility during the 3rd shift assembly. The noise level is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. Most of the work is indoors, but large bay doors may be open, exposing workers to weather elements. Housekeeping is done per shift, and employees may end their shift dirty. Steel toe or composite toe boots (self-supplied) and proper PPE are mandatory. PPE supplied by the employer includes ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and arm shields. Tools are issued by the company.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Milford, Delaware.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.66 - $19.66/hr.
