Job Description

Join our team in the optical wire department where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of small plastic connectors. Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you inspect these connectors using a magnifying glass or microscope to identify any imperfections such as black spots or bubbles. Additionally, you will be responsible for assembling connectors on the ends of fiber optic cables, crimping them down, and testing the assembly. This role involves repetitive tasks with small pieces, with minimal lifting requirements and a balance of sitting and standing throughout the day.

ResponsibilitiesInspect clear plastic pieces using magnifying glass/microscope for quality assurance.Assemble connectors on the end of fiber optic cables.Crimp connectors and plug them in for testing.Perform repetitive tasks with small pieces.Essential SkillsProficiency in assembly work.Experience using hand tools.Ability to work with small pieces.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical assembly experience is preferred.Experience with PCB or flexible circuit boards is a plus.Blueprint reading, electrical wiring, and soldering skills.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
