**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** Join an innovative team that assembles large air conditioning units at our newly established Plant 3 facility. Interviews are held at Plant 2 in Kentwood, MI. The position is available on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. While overtime is voluntary, it may become mandatory with notice from the production supervisor. **Responsibilities** + Perform repetitive assembly work across seven different stations. + Remain on your feet around the facility for a significant portion of the workday. + Assist in assembling large AC units in a manufacturing environment. + Adapt work assignments based on customer needs. + Utilize hand tools and power tools daily. + Assemble various components of AC units intended for commercial buildings. + Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training during the first week. + Engage in tasks such as brazing, soldering, operating machines and presses, hanging and unhanging parts, and conducting quality checks and tests once fully trained. + Test units multiple times before dispatch. + Report malfunctions or defects to the production supervisor. + Progress with training to assemble internal components within large units. + Learn to understand and interpret blueprints. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. + Mechanical assembly experience. + Ability to understand blueprints. + Mechanical aptitude. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience. + Physical ability to bend, twist, and lift 40 lbs repetitively. + Comfortable with climbing into AC units. + Positive attitude and willingness to learn. + Nice to have: 1 year of assembly experience, electrical experience, mechanically inclined. **Why Work Here?** Experience immediate access to exceptional benefits once direct, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Collaborate with team members and receive guidance from a lead tech during the initial weeks. The facility is still developing testing stations due to its recent establishment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
