Job Description
Join our team as an Assembler at our recently established manufacturing plant in Kentwood, MI. We specialize in assembling large HVAC units. Interviews will take place at Plant 2.
ResponsibilitiesPerform repetitive assembly work across seven different stations.Assist in assembling large AC units for commercial buildings such as hospitals and apartment complexes.Utilize hand and power tools daily.Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training during the first week.Engage in brazing, soldering, operating machines and presses, and performing quality checks once fully trained.Report any malfunctions or defects to the production supervisor.Learn to read and understand blueprints.Essential Skills6 months of manufacturing experience.Physically inclined with the ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 40lbs repetitively.Willingness to climb into units during assembly.Additional Skills & Qualifications1 year of assembly experience is preferred.Experience with hand and power tools.Electrical experience.Mechanical aptitude.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a temperature-controlled and very clean environment. Stations are well-organized and equipped with necessary tools. Collaborate with team members and shadow a lead technician during the initial weeks. Note that testing stations are being developed as the building is new.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
