**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch. Each unit is custom, requiring you to cut piping to length and braze it together according to specific customer needs. You will work from blueprints as needed and assist in assembling the housing for these racks. The role involves a lot of physical movement, such as bending, kneeling, and twisting. Will train!! **Responsibilities** + Brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch. + Cutting piping to specified lengths and assembling according to custom requirements. + Reading and interpreting blueprints. + Assisting in the assembly of housing units. + Performing physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and twisting. **Essential Skills** + Experience with mechanical assembly, brazing, and using hand tools. + Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. + Mechanical aptitude with at least 3 months of experience in mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction. + Proficiency in using a tape measure for cutting pipes and insulation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in welding, particularly MIG welding on mild steel, is advantageous. + Background in plumbing, entry-level welding, or experience in repairing machinery, such as on a farm or with cars. **Why Work Here?** This role offers opportunities for training in other areas, such as brazing, quality, and function testing. While the shop is kept clean, the nature of the work can be dirty. Work hours are from 5:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Although there is no air conditioning, fans are used to maintain airflow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required daily. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
