Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler on the 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some overtime during the week and occasionally on weekends.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.Verify specifications by measuring completed component.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Use small hand and power tools.Essential SkillsExperience with assembly, hand tools, and power tools.Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools.Experience with pipe fitting, pipe cutting, and irrigation.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic math skills.Ability to speak, read, and write basic English.Excellent attendance record.Ability to lift frequently 3-25 pounds and infrequently 25-50 pounds, as well as regularly bend and reach.Ability to stand for an entire eight-hour shift.Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the work area, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel-toe shoes.Willing to perform other duties as assigned.Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly setting is preferred but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing environment where reliability is key. Training will be provided to candidates who show a strong aptitude to learn and have the proper attitude. The role involves standing for the entire shift, frequently lifting 3-25 pounds, and occasionally lifting 25-50 pounds. The dress code includes wearing PPE such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel-toe shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Luis Obispo, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
