Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Assembler 4 based out of Apopka, FL.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's organization, focused on the development and production of state-of-the-art Systems solutions.
What You’ll get to Do:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, such as modules, boards, panels, and drawers.May solder various products and build cables using crimpers. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.Make continuity checks on work in process and completed work.May conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. Move objects weighing up to 40 pounds from one location to anotherWear safety gear.Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of assembly or electronic experience; or an Associate’s degree in an electronic or technical discipline plus 4 years of assembly or electronic experience.
Experience soldering
Experience performing tasks from written directions and drawings.
Experience performing manufacturing/assembly tasks at a high level, in a metric-based work environment
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous or current certifications in IPC-610 and/or J-STD 001.
Ability to perform tasks under a microscope on very small assemblies with outstanding manual dexterity and precision.
Prior microelectronics and/or chip and wire assembly experience.
Prior automated equipment skills such as Surface Mount Technology (SMT), automated MRSI component placement, and/or wedge bonding equipment.
Ability to learn and perform tasks independently of continuous guidance, assistance, and supervision.
Demonstrated success in working in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide positive customer service interaction and perform assembly tasks while traveling to customer sites.
Ability to perform tasks requiring semi-rigid cabling and building assemblies that require semi-rigid wiring.
Willingness to travel
Ability to work with little to no supervision
Ability to work second shift if necessary.

Primary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 - $87,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
