**Job Title: Assembler 2**
**Job Description**
As an Assembler 2, you will work under the direction of production supervision to build high-quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting production standards and customer specifications. You will be responsible for assembling electrical propulsion systems and drive train units for railcars and various industrial customers. This role requires collaboration with a team of quality technicians, assemblers, cell leads, supervisors, and engineers to ensure the highest standards of assembly progress.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble products following engineering documents ensuring the highest quality products.
+ Operate a computer to check schedules and update the manufacturing status of jobs.
+ Perform operator-based Go-No Go testing per procedures.
+ Continually monitor the quality of parts used in the assembly process.
+ Assist in training other employees and address and resolve inquiries and problems.
+ Perform material handling activities as required.
+ Review assembly processes and methods, recommending changes for continuous improvement.
+ Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information.
+ Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documentation.
+ Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.
+ Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
+ Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School diploma
+ Up to 2 years of experience in a related field
+ Hands-on industrial experience
+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
+ Well tenured individual
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
