Job Title: Assembler 2Job Description

Under the direction of production supervision, the Assembler 2 is responsible for building the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting production standards and customer specifications in accordance with company policies and procedures.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble products following engineering documents to ensure quality standards and production goals are met.Operate a computer to check schedules and update the manufacturing status of jobs.Perform operator-based Go-No Go testing per procedures.Monitor the quality of parts used in the assembly process continuously.Assist in training other employees and resolving inquiries and problems.Perform material handling activities as required.Review assembly processes and methods, recommending improvements for productivity and quality.Communicate accurately with engineering to convey information.Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documentation.Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Essential SkillsHigh School diplomaUp to 2 years of assembly experienceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in assembling electrical propulsion systems and drive train units for railcars and industrial customers

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
