Job Description
Under the direction of production supervision, the Assembler 2 is responsible for building the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost while meeting production standards and customer specifications. This role involves working in accordance with company policies and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble products following engineering documents, ensuring the highest quality products meet company standards and customer specifications.Operate a computer to check schedules and update the manufacturing status of jobs.Perform operator-based Go-No Go testing as per procedures.Continually monitor the quality of parts used in the assembly process.Assist in training other employees and address inquiries and problems.Perform material handling activities as required.Review assembly processes and recommend changes for continuous improvement.Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information.Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documentation.Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.Essential SkillsAbility to assemble products according to engineering documents.Proficiency in operating computers to check schedules and update job statuses.Experience with Go-No Go testing procedures.Excellent quality monitoring skills.Strong problem-solving skills and common sense understanding to carry out instructions.Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and production teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma.Up to 2 years of experience in assembly.Experience in assembling electrical propulsion systems and drive train units for railcars and industrial customers.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
