Job Summary:
Reporting to the Planned Maintenance (PM) Leader, this role will be responsible for maintaining issuing, receiving, and storing tools, parts and other equipment and. Keeps an inventory of tools, inspects tools and equipment for wear or defects, and requests new equipment when needed. Maintains accurate records of tools and replacement parts use. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Ensures that job is done in an efficient manner to make sure production is continuously supplied with tooling, and down time is minimized. This role must be willing to adjust work schedule as needed to perform essential PM activities and maximize equipment availability. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Order and expedite the required items in the Tool Crib inventory ensuring the supply of non-productive parts to the different areas of the plant.
2. Maintain standards of safety, organization and cleanliness in the office. (5's)
3. Compliance with the requirements of the Quality and Environmental System that affect the plant's operations.
4. Order and expedite the spare parts and indirect materials required by the system on time.
5. Keep the minimums and maximums updated according to the requirements of the users and delivery times of the suppliers.
6. Monitor the tool crib inventory cost weekly, actively participate in inventory reduction projects and or activities focused to reduce inventory cost.
7. Provide personal attention to customers or warehouse suppliers who require assistance.
8. Work under the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GDP (Good documentation Practices) keep al Maintain records ready for any internal and or external audits.
9. Participate/schedule physical inventories of tool crib warehouse.
10. Keep the receipts of material in the system updated, if there is a problem communicate it to the supervisor.
11. Follow up on status of ordered parts, and payment status with suppliers.
Education and Experience:
1. Minimum Education:
This position has the following minimum educational requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED: Required
• Knowledge on MS Office - Proficient in Excel
2. Minimum Experience:
• Desirable to have experience in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Eduards, or similar.
• Be organized and proactive
• Desirable to have experience in quality systems, on medical industry is a plus
• Desirable to have experience in purchasing of Sper parts and or MRO.
• Desirable to have experience in inventory control, and cycle counts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Possess a basic understanding of production processes within area of assignment and a working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Follow GMP, s and standard operating procedures.
• Transport materials of varying weight in accordance with established safety guidelines using material handling equipment and additional assistance as required.
• Demonstrates adherence to safety procedures by monitoring personal and peer behaviors, work environment and housekeeping.
• Available for overtime as needed
• Performs all duties with attention to quality, safety, and environmental matter such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, identifying, reporting, and appropriately responding to hazards in the work area (spills/accidents/near misses), always maintaining proper housekeeping, and properly labeling and storing chemicals.
• Assume responsibility for the environmental effects of work performed and for the identification and recording of environmental problems as they arise. Complete all regulatory training as assigned (GPM, s, ISO14001, OSHA, etc.).
• Complete Operator Training Program according to established guidelines.
• Be available for other projects or assignments as requested by management.
• Looking for ways to simplify or improve products, services, systems, and processes to achieve
Qualifications
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• 4 months of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Able to read, write, and understand Basic English preferred.
• Operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools, and hand/pallet jack is preferred.
• Problem solving skills is highly preferred.
