**Job Title: Asphalt Worker** Job Description We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Worker with over 3 years of construction experience. The role involves asphalt repair and patching, new parking lot paving, and various projects including asphalt resurfacing, sealcoating, crack sealing, and concrete maintenance such as installation and repair of concrete curbs, walks, and pads. Additionally, you will be involved in storm sewer repair and installation, catch basin repair, and more. Responsibilities + Perform asphalt raking and shoveling. + Engage in asphalt paving and patching. + Conduct asphalt resurfacing and sealcoating. + Carry out crack sealing and concrete maintenance. + Install and repair concrete curbs, walks, and pads. + Participate in storm sewer and catch basin repairs. Essential Skills + 3+ years of construction experience. + Proficiency in asphalt repair and paving. + Experience with asphalt raking and shoveling. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with screed operation. + Knowledge of sealcoating and asphalt testing. + Familiarity with milling machines and rollers. + Ability to use hand tools effectively. Work Environment This role involves outdoor work from 7:00am to 7:00pm, with some days starting as early as 5:00am. Weather conditions play a significant role, and it is a physically demanding job. The dress code prohibits headphones, shorts, and vaping during work hours. Projects are located across SE Michigan, including Lansing, Saginaw, Metro Detroit, Oakland County, and Flint. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Ortonville, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $33.30 - $40.05/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
