Your Role: Although an entry level position, this position plays crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of asphalt paving mixtures used in North Carolina's highway system. Key Responsibilities: + Conducting tests on asphalt paving mixtures to ensure quality and compliance. + Collecting, analyzing, computing, and processing test data with precision. + Performing ongoing testing of asphalt materials from production plants and field projects within North Carolina’s highway system. + Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of laboratory equipment. + Assist the lead testing technician in upholding AASHTO re:Source accreditation standards. + Collaborate with the Asphalt Quality Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve asphalt mix performance issues related to production.
