Aseptic Technician
Job Title: Aseptic TechnicianJob Description

The Aseptic Technician is responsible for the accurate and aseptic preparation of compounded sterile preparations according to batch record instructions and internal SOPs and cGMPs. This role ensures the quality and integrity of products through appropriate cleanroom behavior and aseptic techniques. The technician will set up and operate all compounding equipment safely, maintain applicable logbook and batch record paperwork in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDPs), and execute aseptic and equipment qualification protocols. Regular onsite attendance and punctuality are essential.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare compounded sterile preparations accurately and aseptically.Demonstrate cleanroom behavior and aseptic techniques.Set up and operate compounding equipment according to procedures.Complete and maintain logbooks and batch records following GDPs.Execute aseptic and equipment qualification protocols.Maintain aseptic and gown qualifications.Collect environmental monitoring samples and perform quality checks.Escalate process issues to supervisors.Thoroughly clean and disinfect Clean Room areas.Maintain personal hygiene before work.Perform additional duties as determined by management.Essential Skills1-3 years of production, packaging, and cleanroom experience.Ability to work independently with an understanding of urgency.Experience in packing, inspection, and machine operation.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to document process issues clearly and concisely.Comprehension and adherence to SOPs.Physical ability to lift 5-40 pounds and stand for long periods.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school education or equivalent required.Preferred: Cleanroom experience with aseptic technique.Preferred: IV bag and/or syringe compounding experience.Preferred: College degree in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, or related field.Preferred: PTCB CPhT or CSPT certification.Minimum 2 years of cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.Some prior production experience preferred.Work Environment

The work environment includes a moderate to loud noise level, particularly in the cleanroom areas. Employees must wear company-issued scrubs, a hood, coverall, boots, gloves, and goggles while working in the cleanroom. The use of sanitizing agents is required for cleaning, which may be moderately disagreeable. Hearing protection is provided and may be necessary at times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley Heights, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
