Where You’ll Work This position is based in our Lenexa, KS office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work. What You’ll Do The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying artificial intelligence solutions that solve complex problems and automate business processes. This role applies expertise in software engineering, machine learning, and data science to build, train, and optimize AI models, such as chatbots, recommendation engines, and predictive systems. + Design, develop, and deploy AI agents using Microsoft Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and the Power Platform to support data validation, workflow automation, and issue resolution. + Apply prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and optimization techniques to improve model accuracy, reliability, and performance; retraining or refining models as needed. + Integrate AI solutions and capabilities into enterprise applications and workflows, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adaptability. + Design, implement, and optimize AI infrastructure within Microsoft Azure, including service selection, environment configuration, and security controls. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI initiatives with organizational priorities and support continuous improvement initiatives, providing technical guidance and support. + Establish and maintain cloud usage frameworks that ensure security, compliance, and responsible AI practices. + Ensure AI solutions comply with internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2). + Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for AI architectures, integrations, and operational procedures. + Stay current with Microsoft’s AI roadmap and identify opportunities to leverage new capabilities for business value. Required Experience: What You’ll Bring to CHA Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. + A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related technical field. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, including at least 3 years working with Microsoft Azure AI stack. + Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, and Power Platform. + Proficiency in Python, Microsoft Graph API, and cloud-native development practices. + Experience with big data platforms such as Azure Data Lake. + Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), and prompt engineering. + Demonstrated success deploying scalable, production-ready AI solutions in enterprise environments. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Commitment to continuous learning in a rapidly evolving AI landscape. More About CHA This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $108,000 Max: $200,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
