This is an armed post requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all persons on site by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government corrections location.Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, applicable laws, and use of force guidelines, maintaining control of assigned weapon and equipment at all times while on duty.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting law enforcement and/or medical support as needed and notifying site leadership per protocol.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, housing units, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter zones as assigned, observing for unusual activity and conditions that could help to deter unauthorized actions.Control access at designated points, verifying identification, processing visitors, staff, contractors and/or deliveries, and enforcing restricted-area requirements according to site policy.Monitor security-related systems and communications channels, including radios, alarms, and video surveillance where assigned, documenting and escalating concerns through the chain of command.Support controlled movement activities as directed, including escorting authorized personnel and coordinating with on-site staff during scheduled movements and operational events.Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, including use of force related events if applicable, and maintain accurate logs in accordance with site requirements.Assist with searches and inspections as authorized by post orders, including screening of property and/or vehicles, and reporting prohibited items or policy violations to appropriate personnel.Participate in required briefings, training, and drills, maintaining current certifications and demonstrating professional conduct and appearance consistent with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess an armed guard card/license.Have 6 months or more of armed security/law enforcement/military experience.Be 21 years of age or older.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
