Provide customer service to location staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders, applicable laws, and Allied Universal guidelines for weapon handling and use of force.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, requesting medical assistance when needed, and/or coordinating with local law enforcement.Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, processing visitors, and/or managing vehicle entry procedures per site requirements.Perform regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.Monitor and document security-related activity using CCTV, alarms, radios, and/or other site systems, and report irregular conditions.Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activities, property damage, and/or policy violations using required paper and/or electronic systems.Provide presence and observation to help to deter unauthorized activity, contraband introduction, and/or disorderly conduct within the assigned area.Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during shift changes, deliveries, special events, and/or emergency situations as directed.Maintain control of keys, access cards, and/or other issued equipment, and conduct shift briefings and post turnovers as required.Minimum Requirements:
An Armed Guard Card/License is required.A minimum of 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.Be at least 21 years of age.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
