**Summary**
Armed Security Officers will provide a variety of security services for the Center for Domestic Preparedness contract.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Follows all assigned post orders, both general and specific.
+ Maintains compliance with the policies and procedures and overall operations listed in the SOW.
+ Controls access to the facility, including unrestricted areas.
+ Enforces systems of personnel identification.
+ Inspects packages/vehicles.
+ Performs both static and roving patrol.
+ Identifies, corrects, and secures any point of security violation and initiates necessary reports.
+ Identifies, detains, and reports any persons suspected of violation or unauthorized access attempt to CDP facilities until appropriate law enforcement arrives.
+ Performs traffic control as needed.
+ Receives, issues, and accounts for keys, locks and access control passes.
+ Monitors facility protection devices and alarms such as fire, chemical agent, and intrusion detection systems.
+ Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
+ Completes monthly required training.
+ Passes semi-annual weapons qualification standards.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
+ Must possess a minimum of three years of experience in security, civilian law enforcement, or an equivalent position with the Armed Forces.
**Language Skills**
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos using the English language.
+ Ability to write simple correspondence.
+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, other employees of the organization and the general public.
**Mathematical Skills**
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
**Reasoning Ability**
+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
+ Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
**Computer Skills**
+ Some posts may require an individual to have knowledge of Internet programs, Word Processing software, and other software as required.
**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**
+ Current/valid state driver’s license
**Other Qualifications**
+ Ability to pass a general medical screening, physical agility test, drug screening, and criminal background check is required.
+ Must be 21 years of age or older.
+ Must be a United States citizen.
