This Position reports to:
Sales Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for selling ABB's extensive range of large induction motors to our key OEMs, end-users, and partners in the designated geographical area defined below, in line with the division's strategy. Each month, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities, including retrofits/replacements for the ageing legacy installed-base in the territory.
The work model for the role is: Home-based, covering a sales area that includes the West Midlands, the South-West of England and Wales. The ideal candidate should be based in this territory.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the assigned division.
Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand their needs, promoting their understanding of ABB’s complete product/systems/services offering, and aligning with them to provide a solution.
Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
Creating added value for the customer and ABB, and ensuring the successful outcome of proposals and contracts, by using effective sales techniques.
Utilising the CRM tool to enhance customer relationship management by streamlining communication, tracking interactions, and providing valuable feedback on customer behaviour.
Qualifications for the role
Ideally, an HNC, HND or a degree in a relevant engineering subject
Comprehensive understanding of the Large Electric Motors (Machines) industry
Demonstrate excellent customer focus
Business acumen
Presentation skills and good networking skills
Previous experience in an external sales role
