Area HR Trainee NL (m/f/d)

WHAT YOU’LL DO​
As an Area HR Trainee for the Netherlands, you will take your first steps toward becoming a key player in shaping our future teams. Over the course of about 12 months, you’ll gain hands-on experience in all major HR processes — from recruiting and onboarding to people development and employee relations.
You will understand what strong leadership means, how to plan for future staffing needs, and how to foster a high-performing and inclusive culture. With a focus on learning and growth, you’ll be guided by mentors and empowered to take responsibility in real-life HR projects.

You will:

Support workforce planning for stores and learn how to build a strong internal talent pipeline.Participate in recruitment, onboarding and development activities to create an inspiring employee journey.Assist in organizing and delivering training sessions for Store teams and reflect on their impact.Learn how to ensure HR compliance with local labor laws and H&M policies.Contribute to building an inclusive and feedback-driven work culture by promoting H&M’s values daily.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH​

You’ll work side by side with experienced Area Teams, including Area Manager, Area Controller, Area HR and Area Visual as well as many leadership teams and colleagues from Store and different colleagues in our support office organization. 

WHO YOU ARE​

We are looking for people with…​

Initial experience in a leadership, coaching or onboarding capacity (e.g. Store Manager or Department Manager).A strong interest in Human Resources, including recruitment and development.The ability to communicate clearly in Dutch and English.

This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible. The role is a hybrid role, based in Amsterdam, with the expectation of working from our office for three days per week. This role will require frequent travel to stores across the Netherlands.
