Job Title: Area Development Manager – Home Automation, Digital Products

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Development Manager – Home Automation to strengthen our distribution and key accounts presence in the Tamil Nadu region. This role will focus on managing existing channel partners, onboarding new ones, and driving automation-related projects. The candidate will be responsible for market development, pricing strategy, product mix management, and exploring new opportunities within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive revenue growth through system integrators and security solution sales for Yale Home Automation products in the Tamil Nadu region. Manage performance of existing channel partners; identify, evaluate, and onboard new partners in line with business objectives. Ensure efficient stock and pricing management, with a focus on distributor secondary sales. Design and execute channel-specific promotional schemes with necessary approvals, track and report scheme performance. Ensure timely collections from dealers and distributors in line with company payment terms to maintain a healthy cash flow. Submit reports and dashboards with detailed analysis of sales, DSO, and scheme impact. Support new product launches with strategic planning focused on influencers such as home automation partners, system integrators, interior designers and architects. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs. Drive demand generation through market activations, home automation presence, and influencer engagement. Organize structured training and engagement sessions for partners and internal stakeholders. Ensure product visibility, territory expansion, and end-user engagement across key counters and locations. Conduct ongoing market analysis for accurate forecasting and budgeting. Understand and support integration of technologies such as Z-Wave, Zigbee, BLE, etc.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Proven sales acumen with a strong focus on achieving targets independently. Strong presentation and product demonstration skills. Expertise in pricing, scheme creation, and channel negotiations. Existing relationships in the home automation or security channel preferred. Self-driven, energetic, and adaptable to entrepreneurial work environments. Proficient in sales analytics and forecasting. Excellent communication (verbal and written) in English and local language. Strong problem-solving, time management, and team leadership capabilities. High level of integrity, ownership, and result orientation. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with programming languages like C, C++, Java is an added advantage.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate in Engineering or Technical stream; Postgraduate in Management preferred. 5–8 years of relevant experience in home automation, residential solutions, or related segments. Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
