Job Description

The Architectural Job Captain supports the successful delivery of architectural projects by coordinating design documents, guiding junior staff, and ensuring high‑quality production throughout all project phases. This role works closely with project managers, consultants, and internal design teams to prepare accurate construction documentation and maintain smooth communication across all project stakeholders.

This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented designer who enjoys collaboration, technical coordination, and contributing to both public and private sector projects within a multidisciplinary environment.

ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical ProductionProduce accurate CAD and Revit‑based design documents for complex architectural projects.Incorporate creative design elements while ensuring alignment with project goals and technical requirements.Lead the coordination and production of construction documentation across all phases.Assist with assembling project submittals and maintaining organized document workflows.Team Collaboration & MentorshipCollaborate within a respectful, innovative, and team‑focused environment.Mentor junior staff by providing technical guidance, redline feedback, and day‑to‑day support.Attend project and consultant meetings as needed, contributing to coordination efforts and design discussions.Project CoordinationCommunicate effectively with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, and internal team members.Support coordination across multiple disciplines to produce well-integrated project deliverables.Contribute to both public and private sector project types with a consistent commitment to quality.What You’ll Bring to the TableBachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related design field.Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an architecture practice.Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Actively working toward architectural licensure.Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop.Knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and industry design tools.Ability to interpret redlines, design sketches, and technical direction.(Portfolio required at time of application.)Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $93000.00/yr.
